Physician-led care in Mission Hills and La Jolla

At the clinic

What happens at your first visit

No rushed seven-minute appointment. Here is the order care follows, and why each step comes when it does.

Medically reviewed by Dr. Shawn Vedamani, MD, Co-founder and Medical Director. This page is educational and is not medical advice.

Care follows a clear, physician-led path, and every step is explained before the next one begins. Nothing is ordered because it is on a list — it is ordered because the clinical picture calls for it.

Intake

You tell us your goals and what feels off, with time to actually talk. This is the part most visits skip, and it is the part that decides what comes next.

Lab draw

You choose the lab panel you would like, and our medical staff can walk you through the options in the clinic to help you decide. If testing is appropriate, the clinician selects the panel and explains where the draw will happen.

Consultation

A clinician reviews your results in context and explains which options may or may not fit. Results are read against your symptoms and history, not against a reference range alone.

Plan and monitoring

If care is appropriate, the clinician explains the plan, the alternatives, the risks and how it will be monitored. You leave knowing what happens next and when.

The order is the method. Candidacy, history, symptoms, relevant results, risks, alternatives and monitoring are all reviewed before any treatment is recommended.

Questions patients ask

Is this medical advice?
No. These articles are educational. Evaluation and any treatment differ by person, and a clinician reviews your history, symptoms and results before recommending anything.
How do I start?
Book a consultation. Your first visit is a conversation about your goals and symptoms, and the clinician decides whether testing is appropriate.
