IV and NAD+ Therapy in Mission Hills, San Diego

Our Mission Hills clinic opens at 8 am, sits on Hancock Street with street and lot parking nearby, and is minutes from Downtown San Diego and the airport. For a lot of our patients that combination is the whole reason they can fit an IV into a working week at all.

SDBody, formerly Hormones and Wellness, delivers IV and NAD+ therapy at 1747 Hancock St Ste C. It is a physician-led practice, so your infusion is screened, supervised, and explained rather than sold from a menu.

What an IV Drip Does, Without the Marketing

An intravenous drip puts fluid and selected nutrients directly into the bloodstream and skips digestion entirely. That is the mechanism. Rehydration works. Correcting a genuine deficiency works. Almost everything claimed beyond those two things runs ahead of the evidence.

So we treat IV therapy as what it is, a supportive comfort service. It is not a treatment for a medical condition, and it is not a substitute for finding out why you feel the way you do. If you have been exhausted for months, a standing drip appointment is an expensive way to avoid the question. Bloodwork answers it. See our diagnostic labs.

NAD+, And The Sentence Other Clinics Skip

NAD+ is a coenzyme involved in cellular energy metabolism, and NAD+ infusions have become popular in longevity and performance circles across San Diego.

NAD+ infusions are not FDA approved to treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Human research is early, and much of what circulates online extends laboratory and animal findings well past what they support. Any clinic telling you NAD+ will reverse aging or fix a diagnosed condition is making a marketing claim.

We still offer it. It can be given safely under supervision, and patients ask for it, and we would rather they get it in a clinic than a storefront. NAD+ is infused slowly, because running it quickly is commonly associated with chest tightness, nausea, flushing, and cramping. Our staff titrates the rate to your tolerance and stays with you through the session.

Who Books IV and NAD+ at Our Mission Hills Clinic?

  • Downtown professionals fitting an appointment in before the workday, since we open at 8am
  • Travelers heading to or arriving at San Diego International, which is a short drive away
  • People recovering from a demanding week, poor sleep, or a stomach bug
  • Patients already working with us on hormone care or medical weight loss
  • Anyone curious about NAD+ who wants medical staff involved

What the Appointment Looks Like

You check in, a member of our clinical team goes through your history and current medications, and they confirm an infusion is sensible for you before anything is set up. The line goes in, the rate is set, and staff stay close for the whole session. You sit back with a phone, a laptop, or a book, and most people work straight through it. Afterwards there is no recovery period, so patients regularly go back to the office or head to the airport the same morning. If you are new to infusions, say so at check-in, and the team will talk you through each step as it happens.

Screening Comes Before the Needle

IV therapy is a medical procedure with real risks, including vein irritation, infiltration, allergic reaction, and infection at the access site. What protects you is the screening, not the ingredient list.

Tell us before booking if you have kidney disease, heart failure, a history of fluid overload, a bleeding disorder, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or take medications that interact with high-dose vitamins. Our clinical team reviews your history at intake and will say plainly if an infusion is not a good idea for you.

Why an SDBody Rather Than a Drip Bar

  • Physicians in the practice. SDBody was co-founded by Dr. Shawn Vedamani, MD, Medical Director, and a board-certified anesthesiologist, and Dr. Alex Roher, MD, also board-certified in anesthesiology. Anesthesiology is a specialty built around IV access, dosing, and monitoring. Brooke Stearns, PA-C, is our Lead Medical Provider. See our providers page.
  • Labs in the same building. Three panels, Hormone, Core, and Advanced, were drawn on site.
  • Recovery services here too. Pair a session with cryotherapy, infrared sauna and cold plunge or red light therapy.
  • No membership pressure. You get a recommendation and a reason, then you decide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I come before work?
Yes. Mission Hills opens at 8am Monday through Friday, which is why it is the more popular location for downtown patients.
How long does a session take?
A standard hydration or vitamin drip is a relatively short appointment. NAD+ infusions take considerably longer because the rate has to stay slow to be comfortable. Our team will give you the expected time for your specific drip when you book.
Why does NAD+ feel strange partway through?
Chest pressure, warmth, and mild nausea are common if the rate is too fast for you. Slowing it usually settles things within a minute or two. Say something the moment you feel it.
Should I get labs first?
Not for simple hydration. If you are chasing ongoing fatigue, yes, because a drip will not answer that. Start with our lab assessment.
Is IV therapy covered by insurance?
SDBody is a direct-pay practice and does not bill insurance. This allows us to provide personalized care without the limitations or requirements of insurance plans. We accept credit cards, debit cards, HSA, and FSA payments for eligible services. Pricing is discussed upfront, so you’ll know the cost of your care before treatment.
