Pellets are bioidentical hormones that are compressed into a tiny cylinder like capsule. These pellets are then inserted on the hip, right above the buttocks between the fat and muscle. Once inserted the body they work by consistently releasing small doses of hormones which help regulate any symptoms. The pellet is meant to dissolve into your system during a period of 3 to 4 months, after which it needs to be replaced. They are suitable for both men and women.
